10 – Keyboard Shortcuts
Aperio is fully operable by keyboard. In this chapter you learn the most important shortcuts and adjust them if needed. A complete list is in the shortcut reference.
The most important shortcuts

Customizing shortcuts
Section titled “Customizing shortcuts”- Open the settings and go to Keyboard shortcuts.
- Find the action you want in the list.
- Select it and press the new key combination.
- Conflicts with already-assigned shortcuts are shown to you.
Navigation – in brief
Section titled “Navigation – in brief”- Arrow keys: move within views and lists.
- Tab: switch between sidebar, toolbar and view.
- Enter / Space / Delete: open / check off / delete.
- Esc: close dialogs and menus.
Screen-reader note: Every action is reachable without a mouse. Buttons carry labels, menus are marked up as menus, and application mode ensures your keystrokes reach Aperio directly. You can view and have read aloud the complete, always-current mapping in the settings at any time.
