08 – Search
In this chapter you quickly find events and tasks again – across every connected calendar and list.
Searching
Section titled “Searching”- Open search (default:
Ctrl+F). - Type a search term – Aperio searches titles, descriptions and locations.
- Results appear as a list as you type.
- Use the arrow keys to select a result and
Enterto open it.
Narrowing results
Section titled “Narrowing results”You can filter the search, for example by:
- type (events only or tasks only),
- calendar / list,
- time range.
This lets you quickly find the right entry even among many.
- Search includes all visible sources. If you hide a source in the sidebar, it is also left out of search.
- A selected result opens in its place in the calendar or list, so you see the context.
- Coming back from a result keeps your search: the term and the filters are
still there, and the results are looked up again, so an entry you just
edited comes back the way it is now. Closing search ends it – the next
Ctrl+Fstarts on an empty field.
Screen-reader note: The search field is linked to the result list (combobox pattern). The number of matches is announced, and you move through the results with the arrow keys without leaving the input field.
Esccloses search.
Summary
Section titled “Summary”You can search across sources, filter results and open them directly. In the next chapter we set up synchronization between devices.
